Over the past year, the Slave Legacy History Coalition has convened a series of Community Listening Circles in partnership with People’s AME Church (Chelsea), Pentecostal Tabernacle, Historic Charles Street AME Church, St. Paul AME Church, Bethel AME Church, and Grant AME Church, creating space for reflection on local histories and legacies of slavery and their continued impact today.


This gathering at King’s Chapel builds on earlier listening circles, bringing together returning attendees and members of King’s Chapel for a shared evening of reflection and connection across congregations. It offers an opportunity to reflect on what has emerged across the series and to engage with how King’s Chapel is approaching its own work of acknowledgment and repair.
