Naomi Gordon has been selected by the Massachusetts History Alliance (MHA) Rising Star Award. Naomi has distinguished herself as an outstanding rising leader in building innovative partnerships to increase community engagement with Massachusetts’ Black history. A 2023 graduate of Wellesley College, Naomi served as the Descendant Partnerships Intern at Longfellow House-Washington’s Headquarters, where she supported the descendant-led Slave Legacy History Coalition (SLHC) and other efforts to advance Black history interpretation. Naomi was subsequently hired as the Slave Legacy History Coalition’s full-time Program Coordinator.
