On June 16th, the City of Boston opened a new exhibit at Faneuil Hall detailing Boston’s role in the history of enslavement and its legacy. The exhibit shares the stories of enslaved and free people through research and archaeological artifacts found under Faneuil Hall.

About the event
On June 16th, the City of Boston opened a new exhibit at Faneuil Hall detailing Boston’s role in the history of enslavement and its legacy. The exhibit shares the stories of enslaved and free people through research and archaeological artifacts found under Faneuil Hall.
The project is co-curated by Kyera Singleton (Executive Director, Royall House and Slave Quarters), Dr. Jared Ross Hardesty (Professor of History, Western Washington University), and Joseph Bagley (City Archaeologist, City of Boston).
The exhibit is free and open to the public during Faneuil Hall’s regular open hours and will be on view indefinitely.
